Using Split View and Slide Over

Split View and Slide Over are two powerful productivity features available on iPad devices. Both features allow you to multitask and run multiple apps simultaneously on your iPad. Enabling Split View and Slide Over

To dismiss the Slide Over app, swipe it to the right side of the screen. This will minimize it back to the edge, and you can swipe left on the handle to bring it back whenever needed.
