Setting Up VIP Contacts on Web-Based Email Platforms

Gmail

  1. Open your Gmail inbox.
  2. Locate an email from the contact you want to add as a VIP.
  3. Hover over the contact's name or email address in the email. A pop-up card will appear.
  4. Click on the three dots or vertical ellipsis in the pop-up card.
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Add to Contacts".
  6. In the "Add contact" window, review the contact details and click "Save" or "Add" to add the contact to your address book.
  7. Go back to your inbox and click on the gear icon in the top-right corner.
  8. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
  9. Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  10. Scroll down and click on "Create a new filter".
  11. In the "From" field, enter the email address or name of the VIP contact.
  12. Click on "Create filter".

Outlook
