Managing WhatsApp Business Labels

WhatsApp Business Labels are a powerful tool that helps businesses efficiently organize and categorize their conversations on the platform. Labels allow businesses to easily find and prioritize conversations, making communication with customers more streamlined. Prerequisites

Steps to Manage WhatsApp Business Labels

  1. Open WhatsApp Business: Launch the WhatsApp Business app on your device.

  2. Navigate to Labels: Once on the main screen, tap on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner. From the dropdown menu, select "Labels."

  3. Create a New Label: To create a new label, tap on the "New Label" button. Enter a name for your label and choose a color to represent it. Tap on "Save" to create the label.

  4. Apply Labels to Conversations: Go back to the main conversation list and long-press on a conversation to select it. Then, tap on the label-shaped icon at the top of the screen. Select the label(s) you want to apply to the conversation and tap on "OK" or "Apply" to confirm.

  5. Edit and Delete Labels: To edit a label, go to the Labels screen, tap on the label you want to edit, and select the pencil icon. Make the necessary changes and tap on "Save" to update the label. To delete a label, go to the Labels screen, tap on the label you want to delete, and select the trash bin icon. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

Filter Conversations by Labels: To view conversations labeled with a specific label or combination of labels, go to the main screen, tap on the filter icon at the top-right corner (represented by three horizontal lines), and select the desired label(s). Only conversations matching the selected label(s) will be displayed.

  7. Remove Labels from Conversations: Open a labeled conversation and tap on the label-shaped icon at the top of the screen. Deselect the label(s) you want to remove and tap on "OK" or "Apply" to confirm. The label(s) will no longer be associated with the conversation.

  8. Search by Labels: On the main screen of WhatsApp Business, tap on the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner. Enter the name of the label you want to search for, and all conversations with that label will be displayed.

  9. Sort Conversations by Labels: WhatsApp Business allows you to sort your conversations by labels. While on the main screen, tap on the dropdown arrow in the top-left corner next to the search bar. Select the desired label to sort and prioritize conversations with that label.

  10. Backup and Restore Labels: To backup and restore your labels, go to the Labels screen. Tap on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select "Settings." Choose "Chat settings" and then "Back up" or "Restore" labels, depending on your requirement. Follow the prompts to complete the process.
