How to use Windows Feedback Hub for feedback and support

The Windows Feedback Hub is a built-in application in Windows 10 that allows users to provide feedback, report problems, and suggest new features to Microsoft. This guide will walk you through the process of using the Windows Feedback Hub to share feedback and get support.

Step 1: Opening the Feedback Hub

To open the Feedback Hub application, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or click on the Start button in the taskbar.
  2. Type Feedback Hub in the search bar.
  3. Click on the Feedback Hub app in the search results to open it.

Step 2: Signing in to your Microsoft Account

Before you can provide feedback, you need to sign in to your Microsoft account. This step is necessary for tracking your feedback and receiving updates on reported issues. To sign in, follow these steps:

  1. In the Feedback Hub application, click on the Sign In button at the top right corner.
  2. Enter your Microsoft account email address and click Next.

  1. Click on the Feedback tab in the left sidebar.

  3. Click on a category that best matches your feedback or the issue you encountered.

Step 4: Adding Feedback

After selecting a feedback category, you can now add feedback by providing a description, attaching screenshots, and providing additional information. Here's how to add feedback:

  1. Click on the + Add new feedback button.
  2. In the Title field, enter a brief summary of your feedback.
  3. In the Description field, provide a detailed explanation of the issue or suggestion.
  4. To attach a screenshot, click on the Attach a screenshot button and select the desired screenshot file.
  5. If needed, you can use the Recreate my problem feature to record steps to reproduce the issue.
  6. Add any additional information in the Repro Steps and Attachments sections.

Step 5: Submitting Feedback

Once you have added all the necessary information, you're ready to submit your feedback. Follow these steps to submit your feedback:

  1. Review your feedback to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Click on the Next button at the bottom right corner.
  3. On the next screen, select the appropriate Severity level for your feedback.
  4. If desired, you can choose to include your email address in the feedback for follow-up communication.
  5. Click on the Submit button to submit your feedback to Microsoft.

Step 6: Checking for Updates and Responding to Feedback

After submitting your feedback, you can check for updates on the status of your feedback and engage with Microsoft and other users. Here's how to do it:

  1. Click on the Feedback tab in the left sidebar.
  2. Under the My feedback section, you can view the status of your submitted feedback.
  3. To view feedback from other users or engage in discussions, click on the Feedback section in the left sidebar.
  4. Browse through the feedback categories or search for specific topics.
  5. You can upvote feedback from other users or leave comments to provide additional information.
