How to Use Windows Disk Defragmenter for Disk Optimization

Disk optimization is an essential maintenance task for your computer's hard drive, as it helps improve the overall performance and reliability of your system. One of the built-in tools in Windows that allows you to perform disk optimization is Disk Defragmenter. In this tutorial, you will learn how to use Windows Disk Defragmenter to optimize your computer's disk.

Step 1: Accessing Disk Defragmenter

To start using Disk Defragmenter, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or click on the Windows icon on the taskbar to open the Start menu.
  2. Type "Disk Defragmenter" in the search bar.
  3. From the search results, click on Defragment and Optimize Drives. The Disk Defragmenter window will open.

Step 2: Selecting the Drive

In the Disk Defragmenter window, you will see a list of drives available for optimization. Follow these steps to select the drive you want to defragment:
