How to Use WhatsApp on an iPad Pro

WhatsApp is a popular messaging application that allows you to send text messages, make voice and video calls, and share media files with your contacts. Although WhatsApp is primarily designed for smartphones, you can also use it on your iPad Pro with a few simple steps. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of setting up and using WhatsApp on an iPad Pro.

Prerequisites

  • An iPad Pro running iOS 10 or later.
  • An active phone number with a working SIM card.
  • A smartphone with WhatsApp installed and connected to the same phone number.

Step 1: Download WhatsApp on your iPad Pro

  1. Open the App Store on your iPad Pro.

  3. Locate the WhatsApp Messenger app and tap on it.
  4. Tap on the "Get" or "Download" button to begin the installation.
  5. Enter your Apple ID and password if prompted, or use Touch ID/Face ID to authenticate the download.

Step 2: Set up WhatsApp on your iPad Pro

  1. Once WhatsApp is installed, locate and tap on the WhatsApp icon on your iPad's home screen.
  2. You will be prompted to grant WhatsApp permission to access your contacts and send you notifications. Tap "OK" to allow.
  3. On the "Terms of Service" screen, tap "Agree & Continue" to proceed.
  4. Enter your phone number associated with WhatsApp in the provided field.
  5. Choose your country from the drop-down list, and ensure your phone number is correct.
  6. Tap "Next" to verify your phone number via SMS or phone call.

Step 3: Set up WhatsApp on your smartphone

  1. Launch WhatsApp on your smartphone.
  2. Navigate to "Settings" or "Account" > "WhatsApp Web/Desktop."
  3. Tap on "Scan QR Code" to activate the QR code scanner.
  1. On your iPad Pro, align your iPad's camera with the QR code displayed on your smartphone screen.
  2. Wait for your iPad Pro to scan the QR code and establish a connection.
  3. Once the QR code is successfully scanned, your WhatsApp conversations will appear on your iPad Pro.

Step 5: Using WhatsApp on your iPad Pro

  1. Chatting: Tap on any conversation to view and reply to messages.
  2. Sending Media: To send photos or videos, tap on the attachment icon in the text input field and choose the desired media from your iPad's gallery.
  3. Making Calls: You can make voice and video calls by tapping on the phone or video icon within a conversation or by accessing the "Calls" tab at the bottom of the app.
  4. Settings: To access WhatsApp settings, tap on the "Settings" tab at the bottom right corner of the app. From there, you can manage notifications, customize privacy settings, and more.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up and are now using WhatsApp on your iPad Pro. You can continue to use WhatsApp on your iPad Pro as long as your smartphone remains connected to the internet and WhatsApp is active on your smartphone.

Note: WhatsApp on iPad Pro is an extension of your smartphone and requires your phone to be connected to the internet.
