How to Use the News App for Reading News

The News app is a powerful tool that allows you to stay up-to-date with the latest news and articles from various sources. Whether you're interested in world news, sports, technology, or any other topic, the News app has something for everyone. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of using the News app to read news on your device.

Step 1: Accessing the News App

To begin, locate and tap on the News app icon on your device's home screen. The News app is typically pre-installed on Apple devices, such as iPhone or iPad, and can also be downloaded from the App Store for Android devices.

Step 2: Initial Setup

  1. When you launch the News app for the first time, you will be prompted to select your preferred topics and news sources. Browse through the available options and checkmark the ones that interest you.

  1. If you come across an article you want to read later, you can save it by tapping the share button at the bottom of the article view and selecting "Save Story."
  2. To access your saved articles, tap on the Saved tab at the bottom of the screen.

  1. If you're looking for news on a particular topic or from a specific source, tap on the Search tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Enter your search query in the search bar at the top of the screen and tap "Search."

  1. If you want to receive notifications for breaking news or other important updates, you can manage your notification settings by going to your device's Settings app.
  2. Locate and tap on "Notifications."
  3. Scroll down and find the News app from the list.
