How to Share WhatsApp Status on Instagram IGTV

WhatsApp and Instagram are two popular social media platforms owned by Facebook. While WhatsApp allows users to share their daily updates through the "Status" feature, Instagram offers IGTV for sharing long-form videos. If you want to share your WhatsApp status on Instagram IGTV, you can follow these simple steps.

Prerequisites:

  1. A smartphone with the WhatsApp and Instagram apps installed.
  2. Active accounts on both WhatsApp and Instagram.

Step 1: Download WhatsApp Status

  1. Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
  2. Tap on the "Status" tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. View the status you want to share on IGTV.
  4. Save the status by tapping on the download button or selecting "Save" when prompted.

Step 2: Convert the Status to Video Format

  1. Open the File Manager on your smartphone.
  2. Navigate to the folder where WhatsApp statuses are saved (usually located in the WhatsApp folder or Media folder).
  3. Locate and select the saved status video file.
  4. Rename the status video to indicate its content.

Note: Renaming the video is optional but recommended for better organization.

Step 3: Share on Instagram IGTV

  6. Trim the video if necessary by dragging the handles on the timeline or leave it as the full status video.
  7. Tap on "Next" at the top right corner of the screen.
  8. Add a suitable title and description for your IGTV video.
  9. Optionally, you can add additional filters, effects, or stickers to your video.
  10. Customize the cover image for your IGTV video by selecting a frame from the video or uploading a separate image.
  11. Choose the visibility setting for your video (e.g., Public, Private, or Friends).
  12. Tap on "Post" at the top right corner of the screen to share your WhatsApp status on Instagram IGTV.
