WhatsApp makes it easy to share contact information with your friends, colleagues, or clients. With just a few simple steps, you can send a contact card containing the name, phone number, email address, and more to anyone on your WhatsApp contact list. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of sharing contact cards on WhatsApp.

Prerequisites

  • A smartphone with WhatsApp installed
  • Active internet connection

Step 1: Open WhatsApp

Open the WhatsApp application on your smartphone. It usually has a green icon with a white phone inside.

Step 2: Open a Chat

Select the chat with the person or group you want to share the contact card with. You can either choose an existing conversation or start a new one.

Step 3: Access the Contact Card

To access the contact card feature, you have two options:

Option 1: From the Chat Window

  • Tap on the "+" button located at the bottom-left corner of the chat window.
  • From the menu that appears, select "Contact" or "Contact Card" option.

Option 2: From the Contacts List

  • If you want to share a contact from your list of saved contacts, go back to the main WhatsApp screen.
  • Tap on the "Chats" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Now, tap on the "New chat" button at the bottom-right corner.
  • Search for and select the contact from your contacts list.
  • Once the chat window opens, tap on the "+" button and select "Contact" or "Contact Card".

Step 4: Select and Share the Contact Card

After accessing the contact card, follow these steps to share it with others:

  • Review the contact details to ensure accuracy.
  • Tap on the "Share Contact" or "Send" button, typically represented by a paper airplane icon.
  • Select where you want to send the contact card. You can choose to send it to an individual chat, a group chat, or even print it as a hard copy.
  • If you're sharing with a group chat, select the group chat name or type it in the search bar.
  • Finally, tap on the "Send" or the paper airplane icon to share the contact card.

Step 5: Verify the Sharing

Once you've shared the contact card, you can verify its delivery by checking the chat. The recipient will receive the contact card as a message containing all the contact details, including name, phone number, email address, and any other information you've shared.

Additional Tips

  • You can also share your own contact card by selecting your own name from the contact list in Step 3.
  • Some devices may have slightly different steps or button labels, but the general process remains the same across most smartphones.
