How to Set Up and Use Windows Alarms & Clock for Time

Windows Alarms & Clock is a built-in app in Windows 10 that allows users to set up alarms, manage time zones, and access additional features like a stopwatch and timer. In this tutorial, we'll cover how to set up alarms and use other time-related features using Windows Alarms & Clock.

Setting up an Alarm

  1. Open Windows Alarms & Clock: Click on the Start menu, scroll down to the "Alarms & Clock" app, and click on it to open the application.

  2. Create a New Alarm: Once you're in the app, click on the "Alarm" tab and select the "+ Add new alarm" button located at the bottom-right corner of the window.

  3. Configure the Alarm: A new alarm pane will appear. Set the time for your alarm by clicking on the hour, minute, and AM/PM sections. You can also choose the alarm sound, repeat pattern, and label the alarm for better identification.

  4. Save the Alarm: After configuring the alarm to your preference, click on the "Save" button located at the bottom-right corner of the pane.

Managing Alarms

  1. View Existing Alarms: To see a list of all your created alarms, navigate to the "Alarm" tab in the Alarms & Clock app.

  2. Toggle Alarms On or Off: To enable or disable an alarm, simply click on the switch located next to each alarm in the list. When the switch is turned on, the alarm is active.

  3. Edit an Alarm: To modify an existing alarm, click on the alarm you want to edit from the alarm list. The alarm pane will appear, allowing you to make changes to the time, sound, repeat pattern, and label.

  4. Delete an Alarm: If you want to remove an alarm, click on the alarm from the alarm list, and in the alarm pane, click on the "Delete" button located at the bottom-right corner of the window.

Using World Clock

  1. Access World Clock: In the Alarms & Clock app, navigate to the "World Clock" tab located next to the "Alarm" tab.

  2. Add a City: To add a new city to your world clock, click on the "+ Add" button located at the bottom-right corner of the window.

  3. Search for a City: In the search bar, enter the name of the city you want to add. Select the city from the search results, and it will be added to your world clock.

  4. Remove a City: To remove a city from your world clock list, click on the city you want to remove, and in the city pane, click on the "Remove" button at the bottom-right corner.

Stopwatch and Timer

  1. Access Stopwatch and Timer: In the Alarms & Clock app, navigate to the "Timer" or "Stopwatch" tabs located next to the "World Clock" tab.

  2. Use Stopwatch: In the Stopwatch tab, click on the "Start" button to begin measuring time. You can pause and reset the stopwatch as needed by clicking on the corresponding buttons.

  3. Use Timer: In the Timer tab, set the desired time by manipulating the hour, minute, and second sections. Once the time is set, click on the "Start" button. You can pause, resume, and reset the timer using the respective buttons.
