Note: Make sure to note down your original settings before making any changes in case you need to revert them.

  7. Click OK to save the changes.

3. Configuring Proxy Settings

If you need to configure proxy settings to access the internet through a proxy server, follow these steps:

  1. Open the network settings and click on Proxy.

  2. Under the Manual proxy setup section, enable the Use a proxy server toggle.

  3. Enter the proxy server address and port number.

Note: If you do not have a proxy server, you can leave these fields blank or select the Automatically detect settings option.

  4. Optionally, you can also configure proxy settings for specific protocols by clicking Advanced and following the provided instructions.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

4. Managing Wireless Networks

If you use a wireless network, you can manage and customize your wireless network settings using the following steps:

  4. To prioritize networks, click on the network you want to prioritize and select Move up or Move down accordingly.

Note: Prioritizing networks will determine the order in which your computer connects to available wireless networks.

  5. To add a new network manually, scroll down and click on Add a new network.

  6. Enter the network name (SSID) and security details (password) and click OK.

5. Troubleshooting Network Issues

If you encounter any network issues, you can troubleshoot common problems to resolve them. Here are some troubleshooting steps:

  1. Open the network settings and click on Network troubleshooter.

This will automatically detect and resolve common network issues.

  2. If the troubleshooter doesn't resolve the issue, you can further diagnose by checking the network adapter status.

    • Open the network settings and click on Change adapter options.
    • Right-click on the relevant network adapter and select Diagnose.
  3. Follow the prompts provided by the diagnosis tool to identify and fix any network problems.
