Additional System Restore Options

Apart from manual System Restore point creation and restoration, you may find the following options useful:

  • System Restore Configuration: In the System Protection tab of the System Properties dialog, click on the Configure button. Here, you can adjust disk space usage, delete individual restore points, and disable or enable System Restore for a particular drive.
  • System Restore Cleanup: If you want to delete older restore points to free up disk space, you can use the Disk Cleanup utility. Search for Disk Cleanup from the Start menu, select your system drive, click OK, and then click on the Clean up system files button. Check the More Options tab, and under System Restore and Shadow Copies, click on Clean up to remove older restore points.
